Belt & tow Systems

Rescue Belt

The ultimate safety system for the whitewater open boater. This belt system allows you to perform a wide variety of self and assisted rescues the instant it’s required. This form-fitting fanny pack with quick-release belt carries 70’ of rope.
A center anchor point lets you divide the rope into a short tow line on one side and a long rescue line on the other. Instantly, you have a long or short rope that feeds out as needed during the rescue. Each end has a carabiner with a float attached on each side of your waist. And, because it opens completely, the Rescue Belt re-packs faster than most throw bags.

Pig Tail

Get boats and swimmers to shore with a tubular webbing bungy tow that extends from 24" – 40". The stainless steel D-ring attaches to a QR Belt on the back of a PFD. The carabiner clips to the front of the PFD for quick access. In a pinned or broached situation, a Pig Tail can be helpful.
Once a throw bag is thrown to the victim, they can often help in their own extrication by clipping the end of the line into the Pig Tail’s carabiner. Giving the rescuer a line to the back of the victim’s PFD can greatly increases the options in how to carry out the rescue. If you’re PFD does not have a quick-release belt, check out our QR belt.

Quick Release Belt

This high performance rescue belt is built for lifejackets or PFDs that do not have a quick-release chest harness, or require an upgrade.
Sturdy and reliable, this belt is fully adjustable and has a 1200 lb. rating. It comes with an easy-to-locate red bobble on the cam buckle when a fast jettison is required. Two stainless steel webbing sliders work to ensure the belt functions the way you need it to. The front slider operates as a friction plate ensuring the belt stays on under pressure until the cam is manually released. The slider at the back acts with a 2" acetyl square ring to ensure the D-ring from a Pig tail or Extrication Line remains centred on your back regardless of your size.
In conjunction with a Pig Tail or Extrication Line the QR belt enables a strong swimmer or tagged rescue with the safety of releasing yourself or the swimmer if required.
