Adjustable Tow Line for Sea/Tour Kayaking
This sleek, compact tow line unfolds to make a large wide-mouth bag that is easy to re-stuff in rough water conditions. The adjustable anchor system lets you tow from any length up to 55 feet. It can be used with its own quick-release belt or can be attached to any PFD with a quick release belt.

INSTRUCTIONS

Towing
Open the bag and remove the brass clip and float. Hook the clip into the security loop or grab-loop of the boat that you plan to tow. Let the length of line you wish to have between the boats unravel from the bag. Now take the rope and knot it at that point; we recommend a figure 8 knot. Clip the rope into the brass snap inside the bag. This will anchor the rope for towing. This system allows anchors at any point along the rope, giving you the flexibility to pre-set or adjust for changing conditions and situations. We suggest a short length of rope for calm water towing and a longer one for rough water conditions.

Releasing the Belt
In the event that you wish to disengage from the rescue, release the cam buckle on the waist belt and allow the system to pull away from you.

Re-packing the Bag
After a rescue, you can simply bunch up the rope and shove it into the bag. This will get the rope out of the way. Once you are on shore or in calm conditions you can re-stuff the bag to ensure that when it is used for the next rescue the rope will feed out properly. To do this, simply unclip the rope from the brass snap and feed the rope in at random. Place the float inside the bag, and roll the bag up. Or, if you would like quicker access to the towing hook, place the hook outside the bag then roll the bag up and close. This way the clip sits half way out of the side of the bag but remains secure.
